A: Vitamin C is a fantastic skin care
ingredient. It encourages the production of collagen and
elastin in the skin. These are needed to help skin elasticity
and assisting the reduction of scar tissue.
Contrary to popular belief (and despite many claims to the
contrary) rosehip oil is not a good source of vitamin C.
Vitamin C is largely found in the shell of
the rosehip and is often used in teas and syrups.
Once
it has been extracted Rosehip Oil does not contain vitamin C.
The shell of the rosehip is not used in the production of
rosehip oil and vitamin C is a water soluble (not oil
soluble) vitamin.
Therefore, to take
advantage of the many benefits of vitamin C for the skin,
we have added an oil soluble form of vitamin C to our
rosehip oil.
